Our Remembrance events this year were very different to our usual format but we were determined to honour all those who have given so much to protect our freedom. Each bubble went out at a specific time with the Reverend Lee Gabel and our Bishops Visitor, Mrs. Stothard, leading socially distanced services, on the front lawn of the school.
KS2 went out first and Martha and Jessica laid the wreath that the children had made, on the Cenotaph. Foundation was next and it was one of our youngest children, Annabelle, who laid their wreath. KS1 was the last group out and planted their hand made poppy sticks at the base of the Cenotaph and also around the display outside the main entrance of the school.
Thankfully the weather was kind to us and it was wonderful to see the Reverend Lee Gabel and Mrs. Stothard again. A couple of villagers and two passing police officers also stopped to share the moment with KS2.
