The Children's Voices

Across the Federation, we strongly believe that the children should have a say in various aspects of the school, and they are encouraged to voice their opinions, their concerns and their suggestions. At St. Helena's, to help facilitate this, we have three elected pupil bodies within the school:

  • School Council;
  • Worship Council;
  • Wellbeing Ambassadors
  • Sports Council; and
  • Sports Leaders.

All the children from Year 1 to year 6 can put themselves forward for as many of the Council's as they like. It is important to note that this is a personal choice and if a child doesn't want to be on any of the Council's, then that's perfectly fine, and we respect and honour their decision.

Once all the children who wish to be considered have put their names down, the whole year group votes to decide who will become their representative for each of the Council's.
