First Steps Nursery

We are delighted to inform you that our First Steps Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8.50am – 3.15pm (10 weekly sessions) term time only. We are able to offer places to children from their 3rd Birthday. Our charges are listed below.

We can offer morning, afternoon or all day sessions subject to availability. Sessions must be pre-booked termly in advance with the School Office.


Our preferred method of payment for Nursery sessions is half termly invoices which will be sent to you at the end of each half term, however we can also accept daily and weekly payments. All payments must be made through ParentPay our secure online payment system. You will be issued with an activation letter once your child is enrolled in the school.


We can provide a hot school lunch each day at a cost of £2.20. Lunches are booked each morning with the Foundation Teacher. Lunches must be paid via ParentPay our secure online payment system and you must have sufficient credit on your account before booking a lunch.


All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of universal free childcare funding per week for 38 weeks per year (38 weeks is the number of weeks schools are open per year). This funding starts from the term after your child’s third Birthday. This funding equates to 5 free sessions per week. These sessions can be a mixture of morning, afternoon or all day sessions (all day counts as two sessions). To claim this funding all that is required is for the Parent/Guardian to complete a Parental Agreement Form (PAF) which will be given to you by the School Office. There is no criteria which has to be met for this funding it is an entitlement for every child however, if your child does not attend regularly you may lose part or all of your funding.
