After School Clubs
We are very proud of the number and variety of free clubs and events that we are able to offer to the children in our school. This is due in no small measure to the continued support we get in the form of Sports Premium funding. Our P.E. Lead works tirelessly to bring new and exciting sports in to school, and to arrange visits to a whole range of sporting events and competitions, to ensure that our children can experience as a wide a variety of sports, as possible.
This page will showcase the clubs, events and competitions our children take part in.
Clubs for Summer Term 2026
DT/Art
This is a new club for all year groups, run by Miss Westerman-Hughes afterschool on a Monday. We look forward to photos showcasing the design and creativity skills of the children, in the coming weeks.
Premier Sports - Archery & Basketball
Following on from the success of their multi-sports club, this term Premier will be adding two new clubs to those on offer over the Summer term. Open to children from all year groups on Tuesday after school, the first half of the term will be Archery, with the second half being Basketball. We think the children will thoroughly enjoy these opportunities to try new sports.
Karate Club
We have been running Karate Club for over several years now and it is fair to say that these clubs have proved very popular across all the year groups, with the club fully subscribed. As well as karate kicks, punches and blocks, the children have also started to learn some self-defence. They are also learning the Japanese names for the various moves and can count up to 10 in Japanese as well. This afterschool club takes place on Wednesday.
Each week a star student is chosen and they receive a certificate in the next Family Worship.
Gardening Club
Run by Mrs. Revitt, this club is open to all year groups and runs afterschool on Wednesday. Gardening Club has proved very popular in the past and we look forward to seeing the results of the children's efforts in due course.
TT Rockstars (Lunchtime)
The first of two new lunchtime clubs, TT Rockstars is open to children from year 1 to year 6. TT Rockstars is a program we have used in school for several years now and is a fun way for the children to learn and become sound in their timestables. This club will be run by Miss Westerman-Hughes, from 12:30pm until 12:55pm on Wednesday.
Duck Egg Theatre
This term, we are excited to be able to bring a completely new afterschool club to Kirmington on a Thursday. Duckegg theatre will be hosting a club for children from all year groups. Hopefully, in due course, we will get the chance to watch the children put in to practice the skills they will learn over the term.
Lego Club (Lunchtime)
The second of the new lunchtime clubs, Lego Club will be open to all children and will be run by Mrs. Revitt on a Thursday Lunchtime, 12:30pm to 12:55pm.
SATs Maths Booster
Run by the Chair of the PTFA, the Maths Booster club allows the year 6 children the opportunity for some additional support leading up to their SATs. The club will continue to run for the first 3 Fridays of the Summer Term.
Coding Club
Run afterschool on a Friday by Mrs. Box, Coding Club is set to make a welcome return in JUNE, after the summer half-term. This club is open to children in years 2 to 6 and has proven very popular in the past.
PLEASE NOTE: This club starts AFTER the summer half-term.
