Show & Tell Season 2 Week 6
Well it’s not hard to guess what is featuring in this week’s
Snow and Tell oops, I mean Show and Tell. Looking at your pictures and stories is a wonderful way to kick start the half-term, and we can all let out a collective sigh of relief, consign the school books to a safe but out of sight place, leave laptops and tablets to gather dust, and relax and enjoy quality time together. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this week’s Show & Tell. Keep on sending in your pictures and updates, we love seeing them all. Items for the next Show & Tell should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why not take a look at what the children at St. Barnabas have been up to?
This brother and sister are having fun in the snow.
Thea has been very eager to be out in the snow this week so any opportunity we got we went out to feed to ducks again. Went on the sledge which her mummy and grandma had been on (55 year old sledge). She was eager to start with her activities pack especially when she saw the pot of playdoh.
She wanted mummy to pass a message on that she misses her teachers very much and wants to see them when she gets back to school. ‘I want to see my friends that go to school with me’ . She also misses Arabella very much.
This week has flown by- Chloe has been to the park in the snow, had snowball fights and used the sledge. She has also done all of her school work, dance and martial arts classes and even done extra Spanish and Art with Alexander in his zoom classes.
On one of our walks Isabelle spotted the ducks again, and said ‘take a picture and show Miss Somerscales Mam!’ So we did, and they came to see her! She’s been working hard too, reading and playing on the osmo shapes game, that’s her favourite, and she’s getting quite good now being able to get them the right way round to make the picture on the screen! She also said she missed days out lots and missed the beach for the candyfloss, so we can now make our own at home!
We had lots of fun delivering remote learning pack 4 to all our friends in Kirmington on Friday. It was a cold, bright morning but that didn’t stop us chatting and laughing all the way around. It was great to see some of our school friends, their dogs and cats and their mums and dads. Miss Somerscales and Mrs. Russell were a little daft, so Mr. Marsh had to keep them in order!
To have some snow was certainly exciting and has distracted a little from school work.
But involved outdoor exercise 🛷 and much needed fresh air & fun.
Sophia founds tracks in the snow, we think water hen and rabbit, also made her own “S”.
Thankfully we live on a hill so we’ve been sledging every day, and even tried the snow board 🏂on the flat, jumping to turn direction. Not to go down as was too icy and too big as it’s Daddy’s.
Sophia & myself were happy when Friday arrived, as I’m sure you all were.
At Henry & Sophia’s request, we visited Starbucks for an end of homeschool term treat! Sophia reminded me you like to visit Starbucks to Mr. Marsh.
Enjoy your rest, see you on teams soon.
This week the boys have been using the snow and ice to practice there tracking skills…they were able to find rabbits, crab, and deer, they also found lots of interesting shells for our nature shelf and some new seaglass.

This week was all about the snow, sledging, snowball fighting, tending animals and finding large icicles.
This weekend Beatrice is busy making valentines biscuits to drop at friends’ doors in readiness for their virtual Valentines sleepover on Sunday!
Poor little Floss dog had to help with the sheep in Baltic blizzards too – what a star 🌟
