Show & Tell Season 2 Week 4
Rain, sleet, Jack Frost and power cuts haven’t stopped you from enjoying the great outdoors, or hampered your creativity or fun this week and, once again, we have an array of photo’s to share with you all. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and keep on sending in your pictures and updates, we love seeing them all. Items for the next Show & Tell should be sent to email@example.com by the end of next Saturday (6th).
Why not take a look at what the children at St. Barnabas have been up to?
This week we have loved spending time outdoors again. We had a lovely time scootering fast in the sunshine. The ice last weekend was great fun and very slippy! There were lots of frozen animal tracks which we enjoyed looking at. We have helped Daddy test some of the wheat and walked some of the growing crops.

This week the boys have been following their bridge interest by visiting the different bridges around our local area, on our daily walk out. Learning about all the different ways bridges can be made. They have also made pizzas and explored our garden finding treats for the chickens who are still caged up. There favourite thing to do has been finding ice, the thickest piece being 17mm! Which has then sparked interest in solids to liquids.

Laina and Jodie-Mae have been cake baking and decorating.
This week Thea has been practicing her drawing using pincher grip. Counting numbers and shapes. Reading lots of books with her sister. She’s being enjoying building dens using table, chairs and sheets. Splashing and running in massive puddles at the local park with her new favourite teddy Skye that goes everywhere with her. And helping mummy prepare breakfast, lunch and dinners, from cracking eggs to buttering bread.
Think week felt like a very long one with home school…. Sophia hasn’t quite finished the work yet!
We had ran out of carrots one night, but fortunately planted some rainbow 🌈 carrots in the summer!
Sophia has a new drink called Umph!
Gwenno has been out three times and Snoopy has been on a few walks. Salty of course has her daily exercise session.
Did you see the amazing moon!?
Chloe has had a busy week, decorating a gingerbread campervan, been on muddy walks and icy walks, done another online dance class and explained her English work to the fish and read to the cat.
Elisi has been going for some tiring walks and has been completing her maths with her fraction blocks as support.
It’s been a cold week which just means more jobs when you keep animals. Breaking the ice on the water troughs is a very important job, as is starting to get the lambing shed ready. We’ve also had to walk the sheep to move fields because it’s still too wet for the trailer but luckily they’d follow the girls anywhere. One of the photo’s shows a hot spot where a sheep has been lying!
The girls enjoyed a hot chocolate treat for working so hard. They made suet treats ready for the bird watch and took part in an Orchestra on line. Beatrice did some baking. Bird watching by the lake. The girls wanted to try the science experiment from BBC Bitesize daily.
