Show & Tell Season 2 Week 3

Another week and another amazing collection of photo’s for this week’s Show and Tell. It’s wonderful to see so many of you taking advantage of the outdoor spaces we are lucky enough to live in, building super structures with Lego, baking (yum), exploring science, helping out at home and having fun! Thank you to everyone who has contributed and keep on sending in your pictures and updates, we love seeing them all. Items for the next Show & Tell should be sent to admin.kirmington@northlincs.gov.uk by the end of next Saturday (30th).

Why not take a look at what the children at St. Barnabas have been up to?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boys went exploring into the woods with an ‘I Spy’ book someone had very kindly posted through our letter box, to find the items in the book. Ethan has collected a few things to start his own wildlife scrapbook. They have also looked at the artist Munch and had a go at drawing their own art with pastels.
Ayrton has been interested in the goings on in America: he has looked at world leaders and learnt how politics work, before coming up with his own manifesto for his own political party. We have also given the animals a check up ready for spring.
Casper and River have enjoyed making natural dams with all the rainwater.
River has been fascinated with bridges: he’s made a few of his own out of Lego and his dad helped them all to build the Humber Bridge.
Lucy – a monster
Alex – has drawn a mystery object!
Thea (Nursery 1) has been very busy practicing holding pencils and managing to follow dot to dot numbers and practicing her counting and pointing out shapes on her own . She’s constantly smiling and happily singing and dancing with her younger sister Luna. She’s completing jigsaws with a little encouragement, helping bring wood in for her grandmas fire and was very brave today having her immunisation injections she was treated to a sticker and some treats.
Elodie has made this wonderfully bright and cheerful picture.
This week, Chloe has done some rock painting and a very fun dance class on zoom.
This week we have been on lots of walks, some were very windy and nearly blew Arabella over! We have moved onto jumping steeper and fuller ditches which is great fun. Mr. Marsh will be pleased because we have also done some cross country running. We have sewed, crafted and baked some lovely things. The girls have made a course of jumps and are seeing how fast they can jump round them.
The girls have been busy and working hard on their school work. Isla has been helping to teach Addie her maths too. They’ve helped upcycle their great-grandma’s old blanket box and Isla used some old fabric to make a new skirt for her doll. They’ve done some martial arts practice on the Internet. We played ‘guess the farming implement’ on the farm… more for mummy’s education than anyone else’s😂. Addie enjoyed finding letters out of branches on a big walk in the woods and Daddy showed us where badgers go to the loo on the farm! The girls have also helped with decorating and played lots with Rafi.
Isabelle has been busy with her school work pack, and she’s found time to visit her friends the ducks again and even had a 3.6 mile walk to the cathedral and the castle and back, as she had missed the castle grounds! (Think she regrets how far away it was but she had fun all the same!)
Despite the weather being fairly wet this week, we’ve still managed lots of outside fun.  Wet dog walks and new drying coats (which the dogs don’t look that impressed with), pony riding and practising jockey positions.  We rode past school and enjoyed having a quick word with Mrs. Russell.  We’ve signed up to the “Walk 100 miles and Ride 100 miles challenge” aimed at improving connection between horse and rider.  We baked a delicious pear and chocolate pudding.  Enjoyed some science experiments and even got the microscope to talk to the computer!  Beatrice joined mummy for a run (it was a bit fast for mummy though). And of course many sheep jobs and even a bit of veterinary medicine on one of Philippa’s sheep, who has a sore foot from all the wet!
Sophia has been completing her school work, managed a catch up on teams after some difficulties logging in! Henry to the rescue!
We have been on two long walks one round Kirmington, during the tail end of storm Christoph and another round Barrow, down to the Leaden and round the blow wells.
Sophia has also been riding and to visit Gwenno.
