The year 3 and 4 children have been working hard on PowerPoint presentations about the Lake District which they then presented to their classmates. The teaching staff were very impressed with how well they did and all the children showed incredible courage by getting up and delivering their presentations.

Over the last couple of weeks the children in Foundation have been busy practicing their scissor skills, cutting shapes to make rockets and used different types of brushes to make different effects as they painted firework pictures, adding generous amounts of glitter to make them sparkle. The children also had great fun flicking white paint onto black sugar paper, to make an effective ‘night
Our Remembrance events this year were very different to our usual format but we were determined to honour all those who have given so much to protect our freedom. Each bubble went out at a specific time with the Reverend Lee Gabel and our Bishops Visitor, Mrs. Stothard, leading socially distanced services, on the front lawn of the school.
We were delighted to receive these photo’s showing a very grateful squirrel using the Squirrel Feeder Oliver (yr 1) had made with his dad. Mum said that she tried to get him to paint it the same colour as the fence but it had to be green to match the trees. We think he’s done a fantastic job. Well done Oliver.
There have been many annual events, celebrations and traditions that have not been able to happen this year and not being able to have our usual ceremonies around both the Cenotaph and the war memorial in Kirmington, are two of the more poignant ones. This year the KS2 children have painted poppies onto slates which were then taken to the war memorial for display
